Frequently Asked Questions

What is REVERSIDE?

REVERSIDE is a professional dual-engine reverb plugin featuring independent early and late reflection engines, 200+ early reflection patterns, tempo-synced pre-delays, and a GPU-rendered interface. It supports VST3, AU, and CLAP formats on Windows and macOS.

The plugin is designed for absolute clarity in professional mixing environments, offering natural space simulation without the coloration found in many other reverb plugins. REVERSIDE is currently in beta development with anyone able to join the beta program.

How can I access REVERSIDE?

REVERSIDE is currently in beta development and anyone can sign up for beta access. Beta versions are time-limited but fully functional for testing and evaluation purposes.

Upon official release, existing SpinAudio and 2CAudio users will receive a free permanent license as a special thank you for their past support. Other users will be able to purchase the plugin at release. To join the beta program, please contact us directly.

What DAWs support REVERSIDE?

REVERSIDE works with any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that supports modern plugin formats:

  • VST3: Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, FL Studio, and more
  • AudioUnit (AU): Logic Pro, GarageBand, Digital Performer
  • CLAP: Bitwig Studio, Reaper (with CLAP support)

Compatible DAWs include Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, FL Studio, Ableton Live, and many others on both Windows and macOS.

How does dual-engine reverb work?

REVERSIDE uses a sophisticated dual-engine design that separates reverb processing into two distinct components:

  • Early Reflections (ER) Engine: Handles the initial sound reflections that provide spatial cues and positioning information
  • Late Reflections (LR) Engine: Creates the dense, diffuse reverberations that provide ambience and the sense of space

This separation allows for precise control over each aspect of the reverb response, enabling both natural acoustic simulation and creative sound design.

What are early reflections in reverb?

Early reflections are the first sound reflections that reach your ears after the direct sound. They occur within the first 50-100 milliseconds and provide crucial spatial information about:

  • Room size and dimensions
  • Surface materials and absorption
  • Your position within the space
  • The acoustic character of the environment

REVERSIDE offers over 200 early reflection patterns, allowing you to accurately simulate different acoustic spaces or create unique spatial effects.

Who created REVERSIDE?

REVERSIDE was created by Denis Malygin, a renowned figure in professional audio software development with over 25 years of experience. Denis is:

REVERSIDE stands out from other reverb plugins with several unique features:

  • Dual Independent Engines: Separate ER and LR processing for maximum control
  • 200+ Early Reflection Patterns: Extensive spatial simulation options
  • Tempo-Synced Pre-delays: Lock reflections to your DAW's tempo for rhythmic effects
  • GPU-Rendered Interface: Cutting-edge UI technology for smooth performance
  • Natural Modulation: No pitch or frequency modulation for perfect clarity
  • Comprehensive Stereo Control: Advanced stereo control for both Early and Late Reflections with Stereo Field Rotation, Stereo to Mid/Side Blend, and Virtual Listener and Mic Positioning in simulated acoustic space
  • Professional Pedigree: Created by the developer of acclaimed Aether reverb

What are the system requirements?

REVERSIDE has minimal system requirements:

  • Operating Systems: Windows 10+ or macOS 10.12+
